gingerbread protein french toast

gingerbread is my absolute favorite holiday flavor & it’s almost december… making it totally acceptable to embrace all things holiday flavors, such as gingerbread french toast.

this high protein breakfast is flavorful and easy to throw together. the recipe makes 2 servings, so you can share with friends or save a serving as meal prep!!

what you’ll need

  • 4 slices daves killer bread

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2c egg whites

  • 1/2 scoop whey (used vanilla)

  • 1/4 bottle core power, or nonfat milk. ( core power will increase protein content )

  • 1 tbs cinnamon

  • 1 tbs ginger

  • 1/2 tsp allspice

  • 1/2 tsp cloves

  • pinch cardamom

  • 1 tbs butter, for topping

what to do

  • heat a nonstick pan on low heat. spray w a little coconut oil spray if needed.

  • mix all your ingredients , dip your bread, cook til done

  • top w butter , extra spices , berries , maple syrup ….. anything the heart desires ( extra toppings not accounted for in macros )
