plant based burger

calling this one the bunny burger because i do believe it should be classified as a burger but also because i feel like this is the type of food a bunny would eat (totally plant based & gf!!)

either way its delicious, especially served on a bun ( i made my own bun w almond flour, greek yogurt & sesame seeds) w lettuce, pickles and mustard. or you could throw it on top of a salad.

this recipe was inspired by Plant Theory in Miami Beach, a plant based vegan burger restaurant!


BUNNY BURGER

what you’ll need

makes three patties / 198 kcal each - 22g c, 7g p & 9g f

  • 100g garbanzo beans

  • 50g cooked quinoa

  • 30g walnuts

  • 15g oats

  • 10g sunflower seeds

  • 2 tbs h2o

  • 2 tsp onion powder

  • salt & pepper to taste

what to do

  • in a food processor, combine walnuts, oats and sunflower seeds until a ‘flour’ forms

  • place the ‘flour’ in a bowl and add the quinoa, garbanzo beans and h2o to the food processor.

  • once a paste forms, add the ‘flour’ and process until the ingredients are fully mixed

  • add onion powder, salt and pepper

  • heat a little olive oil on a frying pan while you form the dough into patties

  • cook the patties :-)
