body confidence

I can’t count how many times I’ve heard something along the lines of “I’ll be happier once I lose weight” or “I’ll do it when I lose five pounds!” - can you?

maybe you have even said or thought something along those lines.

but why? what’s waiting for you when the scale hits that number you’ve come up with?

think about the people you love. why do you love them

….

not for their body or how much they weight, am I right?

so, why are you holding yourself to those standards?

body confidence begins when we respect our body for what it gives it. when we begin to listen to it and give it what it needs - proper nutrition, rest, water, movement and above all, respect. and it needs to start now. not when you lose x amount of weight.

taking the focus away from food and dieting and beginning to listen to your body gives you more room to do the things you love, to spend time with the people you love and there is even current research that shows when we really listen to our bodies needs instead of constantly trying to force it to adhere to calorie restrictions and excessive exercise regimes (because our bodies are NOT machines and our needs vary day to day) we can actually see successful, long term weight loss and improved health outcomes (if that’s something you’re going for).

so.. what are you waiting for? let’s get you there!
