how to eat healthy on a schedule

one of the first things that came to mind when I began working from home was how excited I was to be able to cook lunch everyday

but it did not take long to understand that that was not realistic…

working from home is nice, but I still need to take the time to plan out my meals to ensure I am getting the energy and nutrients needed to support my lifestyle.

here’s how I make sure I have healthy food ready to eat or quickly prepare when lunch time rolls around;

plan what you need.

think about what you want during the week - wraps. burrito bowls. whatever it may be. then get the ingredients and ensure they’re ready to prepare

cook ahead.

rice cookers and big batches of chicken have saved my life. I’ve never been one to completely meal prep, but having a large quantity of food that I can easily heat up for a variety of different recipes ensures that I am not getting bored with my meals

snacks are your friend

having healthy snacks on hand at all times prevents me from getting too hungry. I like to keep healthy snacks prepared so when I get hungry I have something quick.
