maple baked tempeh
although I am not vegetarian anymore, I still love incorporating plant based protein sources into my diet. they taste great, and its a good way to add variety to a healthy, balanced diet. tempeh is a vegan protein source made from fermented soy beans. it is a great source of protein and iron. this is a quick, easy recipe for perfect maple baked tempeh that goes great on salad, quinoa or even on sandwiches!
MAPLE BAKED TEMPEH
what you’ll need
makes 2 servings
150g tempeh
2 tbs maple syrup
1 tbs olive oil
salt & pepper
what to do
preheat the oven to 350.
slice the tempeh into strips and place in a baking dish.
mix the maple syrup, olive oil and salt & pepper in a small bowl and brush over the tempeh.
bake for 10 minutes, then flip and bake for another 10 minutes.
serve over rice, quinoa or enjoy as it!!
