maple baked tempeh

although I am not vegetarian anymore, I still love incorporating plant based protein sources into my diet. they taste great, and its a good way to add variety to a healthy, balanced diet. tempeh is a vegan protein source made from fermented soy beans. it is a great source of protein and iron. this is a quick, easy recipe for perfect maple baked tempeh that goes great on salad, quinoa or even on sandwiches!

MAPLE BAKED TEMPEH

what you’ll need

makes 2 servings

  • 150g tempeh

  • 2 tbs maple syrup

  • 1 tbs olive oil

  • salt & pepper

what to do

  • preheat the oven to 350.

  • slice the tempeh into strips and place in a baking dish.

  • mix the maple syrup, olive oil and salt & pepper in a small bowl and brush over the tempeh.

  • bake for 10 minutes, then flip and bake for another 10 minutes.

  • serve over rice, quinoa or enjoy as it!!
